Bastin |

René has a degree in Romance language studies from the University of Liège, Belgium. He has a doctorate of linguistics from the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium and a degree in phonetics from the University of Mons.
René speaks the French language perfectly, which he has known for a long time. He has a passing knowledge of several languages and a scientific knowledge of all of the languages presented on www.balingua.com.
René began his career in Central Africa (even though he wanted to go to a Spanish-speaking country!), as a French professor in a middle school. There, he realized that French was being taught as if it were the mother tongue of the students, while most of the young students barely understood or spoke the language! From there it’s been a forty-year journey of creating methods, opening Ceran centers (www.ceran.com) and, after “retiring”, becoming a researcher and the founder of the Balingua® Method. Finally, he could realize his dream: drafting a Chinese-language method!
The Balingua® Method is the third method he has worked on in his professional career. He is truly the fountainhead of course creation for new languages.
When he agrees to leave the office, it’s either for golfing or for active study of his wine cellar!
