BALINGUA IN THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN
PLATO, designer of language software programs,
has created a version of the Balingua course for the Japanese market
In May 2007 the English language courses produced by Balingua and released onto the market in January 2007 were the subject of a production and marketing agreement between the Belgian company Balingua and the Japanese company Plato. The English course is headed for the Japanese market.
Plato specializes in the production of language-learning software for the Japanese market. Moreover, it has partnered with Nintendo on various pedagogical projects using extremely cutting edge technologies, notably a written English module, English Training: English Progress without Stress.
Plato developed an original version of the Balingua course using voice recognition technology and it will be launched in Japan at the end of 2007, with CD support.
The contract between the two companies was handled by the intermediary of AWEX of Japan, during meetings in June 2005, presided over by His Royal Highness, Prince Philippe.
